LAG CLINIC — FIND THE BOTTLENECK

Why is it lagging?

Three quick questions, then real measurements — to Cloudflare, to the sites you use, and to your game's front door. You get a likely direction, the evidence, and the safest things to try next.

Does everything lag, or just one game?
How are you connected?
When does it happen?
Answers are optional — the measurements speak for themselves. Your answers and your diagnosis are never sent to or stored by blamethelag. The measurements themselves are real requests to Cloudflare, to the sites being measured and to your game's regional entry point — and like any web request, those servers can see your IP address.

Frequently asked questions

Can a web page tell me why my game is lagging?
It can narrow it down, not convict. The clinic measures your browser's round trips to Cloudflare, to everyday websites and to your game's regional entry point, and combines them with your answers. That separates a whole-connection problem from a single-game route problem most of the time — but it is not the ping inside your match.
What is the single most useful lag test?
The wired A/B test: measure once on Wi-Fi, then plug in an ethernet cable and measure again. If the numbers collapse to normal, Wi-Fi was likely the problem; if nothing changes, the cause more likely sits beyond the Wi-Fi leg. A single comparison narrows it down — it does not prove it.
Does the Lag Clinic upload my data?
Your answers and your diagnosis are never sent to or stored by blamethelag — no account, no tracking. The measurements are real network requests, though: they go out to Cloudflare, to the websites being pinged and to your game's regional entry point, and like any web request, those servers can see the IP address the request came from. If you share your diagnosis, you preview the exact card or link first — it never contains your IP address or location.
