What actually happens to your data on this site — checked against the code, not marketing copy. Last updated: October 10, 2026.
No accounts. No cookies. No ad trackers. The tests run in your browser, and this site keeps no record of your results. The only things that ever leave your device are the ones listed on this page — all of them.
Speed, ping and clinic measurements run in your browser against the Cloudflare edge, the websites being measured and the regional entry points of games. Those are real network requests, and like any web request, the receiving servers can see your IP address. Your results are stored only in your own browser's local history — we never receive your scores.
When a test finishes, your browser sends this site a counting signal containing only an event name and a verdict level — no numbers, no IP address, no location. Those first-party counters power the public totals on the home page, and they include development and test traffic.
Your IP address and rough location come from Cloudflare as it serves the page, and they are masked by default. Only if you turn on the "Full IP & location" switch does the site send your IP address to proxycheck.io (fallback: ip-api.com) for a proxy / VPN risk lookup — switched off, it is never sent. The risk number is their estimate, not a score this site computes, and it says nothing about your speed or latency.
The map's tiles come from Esri (fallback: OpenStreetMap) and are requested directly by your browser when — and only when — you open the map. Those providers then see your IP address and the area you are viewing, under their own policies.
Sharing a certificate does store data: the certificate image, plus the player name, game and ping you typed, are kept for 180 days, and anyone with the link can view them. Jury votes also store the voter's IP address, for one purpose only: capping each certificate at 3 votes per IP address. Jury nicknames and comments are public, and links are stripped from comments.
Shared result and clinic links carry measurements as URL parameters, and shared images show the numbers on the card. They never contain your IP address, your location or your provider — and you always see a preview before anything is copied or downloaded.
The site uses your browser's local storage for: your language choice, your speed-test and reaction history, the list of certificates you created on this device, and one-vote-per-device jury flags. None of it leaves the device, and you can clear it any time in your browser settings.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare, so every request passes through Cloudflare's infrastructure and is processed under Cloudflare's policies. We run no third-party analytics of our own.
