blamethelag.com is a set of free tools for measuring your connection — speed, ping, reaction time, a lag clinic — plus the paperwork to blame it with. No account, no payment, no catch. Using the site means accepting these terms.
Every number here is a round trip measured by your browser — to a Cloudflare edge node, to a website, or to a game's regional entry point. It is not the ping inside your game, and it is affected by your device, browser, Wi-Fi and the route your traffic takes. A result can point in a direction; it cannot prove that an ISP, a game publisher or anyone else was at fault. Do not base refunds, disputes or purchases solely on these readings — retest, compare, and use the wired A/B method described in the clinic.
Certificates of Innocence, jury verdicts, excuses and stamps are jokes with paperwork. They have no legal effect, settle no disputes, and — the jury insists on this point — confer no actual innocence.
Player names, jury nicknames and comments are yours, and you are responsible for them. When you share a certificate or cast a vote, that text is public — so do not put personal information, your own or anyone else's, into those fields. Links are stripped from jury comments and slurs may be masked. How long shared certificates and votes are kept is set out on the privacy page.
Use the tools the way a person would. Do not hammer the APIs, scrape at abusive rates, try to break or overload the service, or use it to probe third parties. Rate limits exist and may be applied without notice.
The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. It may change, break or stop at any time. If a reading is wrong or the site is down, our liability is limited to an apology — and, where fitting, blaming the lag.
